Recruit Using Facebook with FB UID Scraper

As of the second quarter of 2015, Facebook (FB) reported 1.49 Billion monthly active users worldwide. (That explains how that annoying FB hoax spread so fast!) That is a large amount of people and in turn a number amount of potential candidates. So how can you recruit using Facebook? FB (Facebook) UID Scraper is a Chrome Extension optimized for recruiters to pull user data from Facebook Graph Search. Facebook Graph Search, is a search engine that allowed people to search using regular language.  For example, rather than creating elaborate boolean searches, you can create a search to find people who are not my friends and went to work at [Company] in [Year].

You will have the ability to find hundreds and thousands of files. At one time, in order to use the data, you would have to manually enter each result into a spreadsheet to pull the information into your candidate database or Applicant Tracking System (ATS.)

Are the results impacted by the size of your network/connections e.g. more connections will return more results?

    • Dean Da Costa

      No it is not.

  • Hi Dean,
You may not be aware but this tool is based on code that was copied, without permission, from my web site. I wrote the Facebook search system and, even through they left the credit saying Designed by Intelligence Software, I do not charge for this or any of my Facebook search tools and if you have purchased this you have paid the person who copied my code.

I have recently written a significantly improved version of my original search tool and have incorporated a results scrapper into it. This is freely available on my web site or from the Chrome Store. http://www.intel-sw.com/blog/facebook-search/.

My original search tool has been copied by a number of people who are reselling it. None have my permission to do this. Some of these other tools have also been promoted on the Recruiting Blogs site.

      Mr. McCusker:

Thanks for posting and letting unsuspecting, naive people like myself know about the scam of your hard work. I applaud you in creating something that helps newbies like me in the field. I have already opened your blog and will give your tool a shot.

  • Wyndi Skillrud

I think they completely locked down the free version. I could not even get it to work.

    • Hi Wyndi, A more advanced version of this Facebook search tool is available here http://www.intel-sw.com/blog/facebook-search This is completely free of charge, there are no paid for upgrades available. As I mentioned on a earlier comment, the software shown on Deans video was copied from this web site without permission and is being sold, if you get it from http://www.intel-sw.com there is no cost.

  • Wyndi Skillrud

I don’t mind paying for paid version, and I’m glad it’s available. I just don’t see anything useful in free version at all anymore.

  • Dean Da Costa

Hey Shane, I was not aware at the time when I wrote this, and thankfully you and I talked about it, as I am sure you can imagine they gave a different story. All that said with yours being free and ding the same thing it is a no brainer. And thanks for letting me know
